The opera is not where most pop stars go looking for their next big fashion moment, but Dua Lipa used the Metropolitan Opera's opening night of Lincoln in the Bardo to do exactly that. She arrived alongside husband Callum Turner in a look that turned a formal night at the Met into a genuine style story.

## The dress

Styled by Lorenzo Posocco, Lipa wore a slip style dress pulled from Ferragamo's Spring Summer 2027 collection, built around a bandeau style bodice and thin halter straps. Oversized chainlink connected sequins covered the entire gown, carrying down into opera glove style sleeves and a thigh high slit, with a train trailing behind her as she walked the carpet.

## Sequins as an opera night strategy

The choice made sense for the setting in a way a more conventional gown might not have. Heavy sequin coverage reads as formal without tipping into literal period costume, giving Lipa a look dramatic enough to match the grandeur of a Met Opera premiere while still feeling current and distinctly her own.

## A best dressed moment, built for a night in

The look has already landed Lipa on more than one best dressed roundup for the week, proof that a genuinely strong outfit does not need a traditional red carpet to register. An opera premiere, it turns out, can generate just as much style conversation as any awards show entrance.
