A 14th-century palace, the Grand Canal, Black Tie and the final days of the Venice Film Festival: on 11 September 2026, Thomas Misse's Royal Gentlemen Club will bring these elements together for the Royal Gentlemen Gala Dinner & Congress Awards at Ca' Sagredo Hotel. Anna Stukkert's Congress Awards will be presented as part of the evening, creating a programme where social elegance is paired with international recognition.
This year's theme, La Dolce Vita, is deliberately rooted in the idea of Italian Grand Art de Vivre. The evening is designed around the qualities that have long made Venice synonymous with sophisticated hospitality: discretion, beauty, conversation and a setting with a history of its own. Ca' Sagredo supplies exactly that. The hotel is housed in a historic Venetian palazzo overlooking the Grand Canal, with architecture and interiors that evoke the ceremonial splendour of the city. For Royal Gentlemen Club, it becomes a natural home for an intimate gala where the experience is defined by who is in the room and by the atmosphere created around them.
The wider backdrop is the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, held from 2 to 12 September 2026. Established in 1932, the festival is the oldest of its kind and remains one of the major reference points of the global film calendar. Festival week draws a dense international mix of actors, directors, producers, studio executives, critics, journalists, photographers and broadcasters. Beyond the premieres, Venice becomes a powerful environment for media exposure, private networking, luxury partnerships and cultural diplomacy.
The Congress Awards ceremony will introduce another dimension to the programme. Eric Adams, the 110th Mayor of New York City from 2022 to 2025, is among the laureates expected to be recognised in Venice. His previous public roles include Brooklyn Borough President and New York State Senator.
The guest circle will also welcome Alisa Roever, founder of Angels Helpers Foundation. Her philanthropic involvement complements the cultural and social character of the gathering and reinforces the idea that an international gala can also provide a meeting point for charitable initiatives and people committed to social impact.
Alisa Roever is a New York-based philanthropist, entrepreneur, and founder of Angels Helpers, whose journey from Siberia to the international stage has evolved into a broader mission of social impact. After moving to New York City at the age of 20, she built a career spanning modeling, health and wellness before becoming increasingly active within the city’s philanthropic, business, and civic circles. Roever has engaged with prominent figures in New York public life and served as a volunteer for Eric Adams during his tenure as Mayor of New York City. Today, she channels those relationships across civic leadership, business, culture, and philanthropy into the work of Angels Helpers, creating access to education, the arts, professional mentorship, and new opportunities for talented young people. At the heart of Roever’s philosophy is a simple principle: talent should never be limited by a family’s financial circumstances, and influence has its greatest value when it is used to open doors for the next generation.
A visual highlight of the night will come from Oliver Weber Collection. As Official Jewellery Partner, the Austrian brand will present its new Dolce Vita Collection in a dedicated showcase. Venice is woven into the collection's creative language: reflections, architecture, soft lagoon light, Carnival theatricality and the elegance of the Film Festival red carpet. Swarovski® crystal colours and refined silhouettes translate that inspiration into a contemporary jewellery story. The Royal Gentlemen evening will ultimately be about contrast: the global energy of Festival week and the privacy of a historic palace; international visibility and intimateconversation; cinema glamour and Venetian heritage. It is precisely within those contrasts that La Dolce Vita comes alive.
